Who I Am

I am Linda Anthony with 50 years of experience in teaching piano lessons in the north, north west Houston area.

• Bachelor of Music with Honors in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Texas at Austin,
• Membership in the Cypress Creek Music Teachers Association, Texas MTA, and Certified Teacher of Piano through the Music Teachers National Association,
• Master classes with Leon Fleisher, Frank Mannheimer, Robert Pace, John Perry, and Nelita True.

I have had a passion for teaching piano lessons since the 7th grade. Many of my students have been with me 10-13 years and some have gone on to major and minor in music on the university level.The students bring joy to my life as I also see the joy of music in their lives.

As a piano teacher, my goal is for students to discover the love of learning through disciplined practice, the joy of playing with musical artistry, the satisfaction of being able to take the skills they are learning and create their own original compositions, and the delight in sharing their music with others.
